Bill Del-Sette CFP®
Hello, my name is Bill Del-Sette, and I am the owner of Del-Sette Capital Management. I graduated from the University at Albany with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and economics, and passed all four parts of the uniform CPA exam that same year, a feat accomplished by only one in ten exam takers. After working in public accounting, I found that I needed more personal interaction, so I answered an ad to work as a financial advisor for a large company. After five years I decided to become an independent, business owning advisor, serving in the interest of my clients. I took and passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® exam in 2004 (learn more about the CFP® designation) and became a dual professional in the fields of financial planning and individual taxation. In May of 2011, I decided to focus my practice on all aspects of retirement planning, from long-term care insurance, retirement related tax planning, and managing retirement investments. I try to live my life based on the principles found in Stephen Covey's book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”. I enjoy nature, food and personal development, but my primary passion outside of work is photography (and some of my photos can be found here, on Flickr). In my free time I can be found walking the dogs, traveling and hiking, or somewhere in nature honing my image making skills.
In 2016, a client introduced me to Mexico, and I fell in love with the Puerto Vallarta area. I now spend winters working remotely from a little condo on the beach, and I enjoy telling people about my experience - just ask!
